The incident was the result of human error, where a file was mistakenly sent to a former officer.
We have no evidence that the information has been further shared or misused. The recipient has confirmed deletion of the data, and appropriate legal steps have been taken.
The recipient has been very understanding and has worked co-operatively with us to ensure that there has been confirmed deletion of the data and no further sharing of the information and we are grateful for their swift actions.
We have reported the matter to the Information Commissioner’s Office who are satisfied with our response and require no further action.
