The Civil Aviation Authority is the primary regulator of civil aviation in the UK, whose responsibilities govern pilots, aircraft, training, engineering and maintenance to name a few. This includes all manned and unmanned operations.
The Civil Aviation Authority govern civil drone operations in the UK. They manage and oversee how drones are operated, with respect to their category and proximity to uninvolved people or congested areas. They also regulate licenses, authorisations, maintenance, and future developments.
Civil Aviation Authority Publication 722 provides policy and guidance with respect to satisfying the necessary regulatory requirements.
