Police have charged a man in connection with 14 offences, including 10 shop thefts, across Norwich and Costessey
Police have charged a man in connection with drugs supply following the discovery of a cannabis grow in Norwich.
A prolific retail thief who spat at and bit a member of security staff after being caught attempting to steal from a city-centre store has been jailed.
An eighth man has been remanded into custody as part of an investigation into group-based child sexual exploitation in Norwich.
Three men have been sentenced today (3 July 2026) after being found guilty of the manslaughter of 39-year-old Matthew Griggs.
We work with the community and local partners, as well as looking at our own data to come up with the priority that we will have for Norwich South for the next three months:
Operation Focus patrols in areas identified for anti-social behaviour and serious violence.

To address this priority, we have:
- Carried out patrols across Norwich South areas, focusing on our hotspot areas where see more anti-social behaviour, which includes our green spaces.
- We continue to carry out stop searches on individuals where officers have the power to.
- Regular patrols around key schools in the area – dealing with ongoing parking and anti-social behaviour issues.
- Carrying out Street Surgeries around key locations to speak to the public and local people around any local concerns.
- Regular visits to our local libraries and retail locations to support with any anti-social behaviour and theft related issues.
- We have built on and maintained relations with City College.

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) with a focus on:
- Illegal e-bike and e-scooter issues.

Whilst on patrols officers seized two e-scooters on Barrett Road on 18 June.
Following reports of suspected drug activity on Hall Road, officers attended a property on (17 June) and uncovered a cannabis factory. Approximately 130 plants were seized.
Three men have been charged with multiple drug offences following a number of proactive warrants on Barrett Road, Bignold Road and Queens Road on 23 June. The group have now been charged with 16 drug offences in total including being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.
Investigations led officers to discover a cannabis grow on Bluebell Road on 7 July where multiple bags of cultivated cannabis were seized. A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with three drugs offences.
We have conducted recent patrols in the area of Tuckswood around ASB.
