Our Contact and Control Room responds to calls from the public and are the first port of call when people need a police response.
Our Contact and Control Room (CCR) is based in Wymondham and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year.
Our dedicated teams work shifts over a 24-hour period to answer emergency 999 calls and non-emergency 101 calls, as well as receiving online crime reports and running our live web chat service.
Around 1200 calls come into CCR every day as well as hundreds of online interactions. Answering every one of them is a person who cares deeply about keeping the public safe.
Whether it’s a road traffic collision, a missing person, or a life-threatening emergency, our staff are the calm in the chaos, reassuring the person on the other end of the line while gathering information that can shape the outcome of an incident.
