We work with the community and local partners, as well as looking at our own data to come up with the priority that we will have for Poringland for the next three months:
Road Safety across South Norfolk
Issued 01 February 2026
We’ve been enforcing the Public Spaces Protection order and the local council have issued warning letters as a result of vehicle antisocial behaviour at Whitlingham. Numerous patrols conducted in and around the area including White Horse Lane at Trowse. We continue to speak to the local parishes and respond to any intelligence surrounding road safety. We have also spent time at local schools where advice has been given about road safety. Youth clubs have also been visited where educational/fun talks have taken place.
Targeted speed enforcement by officers and the Safety Camera Team have been carried out at priority locations across the Poringland area, with drivers receiving education or enforcement action as appropriate. This includes across the villages of Poringland, Stoke Holy Cross, and Bixley, and as a result of these deployments, a total of 35 Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) were issued.
