Road Safety across South NorfolkAction taken:
Over the last month we have:
Visited local school to talk about road safety.
Carried out a covert e-bike and e-scooter op - no issues seen.
Conducted speed enforcement in Roydon and Diss with three people given words of advice.
We held a Street Surgery in Diss which was a great opportunity for us to speak to people and hear any concerns.
High vis mobile and foot patrols carried out across Diss.
Speed enforcement taken place in Winfarthing, Needham and Brockdish. Further checks have been done in Thelveton.
Training received on new speed detection equipment from Safety Camera Team which will increase SNT ability and capacity for speed enforcement
Officers stopped a man using a private e-scooter in the town centre. It was seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act and won’t be returned.
