Tackle Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) including vehicle related ASB within Fakenham

We will engage with our community and partners to identify areas of concern through our online drop in surgery, engagement events, high visibility patrols and social media.
Speed checks have been conducted and words of advice issued on Greenway Lane.
Looking to book in some educational work around E-Bikes and E-Scooters with the local schools.
Patrols of the old high school Fakenham, Highfield Road have taken place following reports that young people have been using the site for urban exploring and subsequently damage has been caused. Six ASB stage 1 letters have been issued for this.
Reports of young person’s cycling anti socially in Fakenham has resulted in two ASB letters which can be escalated if the behaviour continues.
Regular checks being completed at traveller encampments to ensure everyone is living peacefully.
Two partial closure orders have been issues to properties in the area and regular checks are being completed- arrests have been made at one of the properties for breaches of this order.
Foot patrols around church yard and lanes have been regularly conducted, following reports of drug dealing.

Having reviewed the data and listened to community feedback, the policing priority for Fakenham and the surrounding area remains as tackling antisocial behaviour (ASB), including vehicle-related ASB within Fakenham.

Four recent positive stop searches for drugs in the town during a night shift resulted in three community resolutions and one arrest.
During evening patrols, officers stopped a motorbike on Holt Road to issue a section 59 warning about anti-social driving.
Numerous Traffic Offence Reports have been given out for vehicle ASB, and also a Vehicle Defect Rectification Scheme order given.
A partial closure order on a property with ASB caused by residents has been extended.
An engagement pop-up will be held on the 30th September at 11am in the marketplace, for anyone to come along and talk about vehicle related ASB.
