Sprowston and Old Catton:
We’ve issued tickets for various offences including no insurance, driving other than in accordance, no seat belt , obstruction and not wearing protective head gear. We’ve also seized an e-scooter, moped and car.
Speed checks have been carried out on Wroxham Rd, St Faiths Rd, Salhouse Rd and Church St. Parking/School patrols carried out at White Woman Lane Junior, Garrick Green infant , Old Catton Junior, Sprowston Junior and Sprowston High.
We’ve also carried out traffic observations on Salhouse Rd and Atlantic Ave and have been working on information provided about drinks drivers and those driving without insurance.
On the 13 April, we seized an e-bike following a number of reports of anti-social riding and doing so without displaying numberplates.
High vis foot patrols outside Sprowston Junior & Infant School during key times.
Gathering intel to help inform targeted patrols looking for drink drivers and uninsured vehicles.
During May, a number of Sec 59 warnings and Traffic Offence Reports have been issued, including to a motorcycle following reports of anti social riding, to a vehicle which travelled straight through red light, and another rider for pulling wheelies. No tax paperwork also submitted on this latter incident also
