Deputy Chief Constable David Marshall

Dave was appointed in November 2025 having previously been the DCC in Humberside Police since 2023. Prior to his move to Humberside Police in 2022, Dave served with Norfolk Constabulary for 13 years in  Superintendent and Chief Superintendent roles.

As Deputy Chief Constable has responsibility for the day to day operating of the Force. He also has several strategic force portfolio which includes responsibility for Culture and Standards, Royalty Protection, Athena, Professional Standards, Legal Services, Human Resources, Corporate Communications and Strategic Business & Operational Services.

Dave is National Policing Events trained, a Public Order and Public Safety Gold Commander, Gold Strategic Firearms Commander and a Strategic CBRN Commander.
