A man has been charged with murder today (4 November 2025) after an incident at a property in Norwich.
A man in his 20s was arrested yesterday morning (3 November 2025) on suspicion of murder after officers were called to a property in Layer Close, Norwich, by East of England Ambulance at 4.45am.
Ambulance attended after the man reported breathing difficulties. Police were called when the man was reported to be behaving aggressively.
Officers arrived to find a man, in his 70s, with stab wounds who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The man, in his 20s, was arrested following the incident and taken to hospital to be checked for breathing difficulties. He remained under arrest and was discharged from hospital yesterday morning (3 November 2025) and was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Following a superintendents’ extension for questioning and further investigation British national Moses Fernandes, 22, of Layer Close, Norwich, has been charged with murder. He will appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (5 November 2025).
