A district that borders three other Norfolk districts and Suffolk, South Norfolk is a large, mostly rural area, with a number of historic market towns, such as Diss, Wymondham and Loddon. It contains Roman settlements at Caistor St Edmund, gardens and steam museum in Bressingham, and a dry-skiing facility near Trowse. The annual Royal Norfolk Show sees over 80,000 visitors every year, and is held on the Norfolk Showground near Costessey.
