- The neighbourhood is made up of King’s Lynn town centre, including the retail centre and historic old town, the central residential areas of Hillington Square, The Friars and The Walks, along with North End and North Lynn.
- It is the second largest urban area in Norfolk and densely populated with an increasingly diverse community including a sizeable Eastern European and Portuguese community.
- King's Lynn is a historically industrial town going back to medieval times when it was one of the most important ports in the country. The town still has a working port for trade and fishing as well as other industries on the outskirts.
