- The Dersingham and Gayton neighbourhood lies to the north east of King's Lynn. It includes the large village of Dersingham and 22 surrounding villages including those which form the Royal Sandringham Estate.
- Among the resident population, there is a higher than average proportion of retired and elderly people.
- The landscape is rural with a strong agricultural heritage. It sees a steady influx of visitors throughout the year to enjoy its pretty villages, the Royal Home, gardens, and nearby coastline.
