Your bail notice or re-bail notice contains all of the details you need relating to your bail date, time and location, the Officer in the Case, as well as information about the Bail Legislation and a Police Advisory Notice to Suspects. The Officer in the case will keep you updated about any progress or changes relating to your bail.
How do I get in contact with the Officer in the Case to discuss my bail?
The name of the Officer in the Case (the officer who is dealing with your investigation) can be found on the front page of your bail or re-bail notice.
If you need to speak to the Officer in the Case, you can contact them online.
If you have an urgent query and are unable to get in touch with the Officer in the Case, please call 101, and select option 2 when directed to be transferred to the relevant Police Investigation Centre you are bailed to attend.
I am on bail but I’ve lost my bail notice.
Please try and remember as much detail as you can, in particular the name of the Officer in the Case. You can contact the officer online. If you have a legal representative, you can also make contact with them to ask if they have the details.
I am on bail, and I don’t know when or where I need to go to respond to bail?
If you are on bail and have a query, please refer to your bail notice that you were issued with when you were granted bail from custody.
The date and time you are required to respond on, and where can be found on the first page of your bail or re-bail notice.

If you have been granted bail with conditions, they can be found on the bail notice that you were issued with when you were granted bail from custody.
I am due to respond to bail, do I actually need to go the police station at that date/time or have there been any changes?
Yes. You must surrender to custody at the date and time as specified, unless the Officer in the Case has contacted you to let you know you have been ‘re-bailed’ to a new date and time, or that the investigation has been finalised.
If you have been re-bailed to a new date and time the Officer in the Case will serve you with a re-bail notice detailing the new date and time.
I want to request a change to my bail date/time/location?
