Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The UK is working with local authorities in India to urgently establish the facts and provide support to those involved.
Police are continuing to investigate following a fatal collision in Brampton near Aylsham.
Officers were called to Buxton Road at 12.11pm yesterday afternoon (Monday 24 March 2025) following a collision involving a cement lorry and a car.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 40s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger of the car, a woman in her 70s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she remains.
The driver of the lorry, a man in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and subsequently released under investigation.
The road was closed while investigations were carried out and reopened overnight.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any dashcam footage or information that could help the investigation.
