Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The UK is working with local authorities in India to urgently establish the facts and provide support to those involved.
As part of an ongoing investigation officers are trying to trace a couple who gave a woman a lift from Litcham to Dereham in the early hours of Sunday 16 March 2025.
Overnight on Saturday 15 March/Sunday 16 March an incident occurred which resulted in a woman sustaining facial injuries, cuts, and scratches.
Following inquiries Shane Cross, aged 31, of Paradise Road, Bawdeswell, Dereham, appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on Monday charged with assault, kidnap, criminal damage, and burglary.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Crown Court on April 14.
Police are continuing their investigations and are seeking help from the public.
In particular officers want to identify a couple who gave a woman a lift from Litcham to Dereham in the early hours of Sunday 16 March 2025.
They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed a female in distress on the A47 at Little Fransham late on Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Police can confirm that those involved were known to each other.
