A shoplifter has been handed a 3-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) banning him from shops across Norwich.
Christopher Stevenson, 31, of no fixed address, appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court yesterday (26 February 2025) after pleading guilty to a total of 18 counts of theft from a shop.
The offences relate to 18 shop thefts that occurred between 4 November 2024-23 February 2025 across seven shops on Riverside Retail Park, Westwick St, Grove Road, Hall Road and Magdalen Street, where items including shoes, speakers, X-box controllers, coffee and alcohol were stolen.
The conditions set out in his CBO state that he must not enter the following stores:
In addition to the CBO, Stevenson was given an 18-week prison sentence suspended for 24 months and fined a total of £300.
