A man has been handed a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) banning him from shops and having an open container of alcohol in Norwich.
Sam Bayton, 37, of Bracondale, Norwich appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court, yesterday (Tuesday 4 February 2025) where he was handed the order after pleading guilty to drunk and disorderly in a public place and a public order offence.
This follows an incident on 10 December 2024 where Bayton was on Gentleman's Walk, Norwich, and was witnessed acting in a drunk manor slurring his words and stumbling. He has also then begun shouting and swearing in a public place.
The conditions set out in Bayton’s CBO state that he must NOT:
Sgt Ali Tassie from the Operational Partnership Team in Norwich, said: “This person has been committing numerous offences whilst under the influence of alcohol and we hope that this CBO will help to reduce his offending in the city centre.”
