A fourth person will face trial for the murder of a 19-year-old man stabbed at a flat in Norwich.
Soulay Fornah, 19, of Acorn Walk, Southwark, London, has been charged with murder today (Friday 28 February).
He will appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on 21 March before going to trial at Norwich Crown Court alongside Leon Bangura, 20, of Old Kent Road, London, Adam Dugdale, aged 55, of Shorncliffe Avenue, Norwich, and Carrie-Anne Hall, aged 51, of Lodge Breck, Norwich, also charged with murder.
A trial date has been provisionally set for April 28 this year and is expected to last for four weeks. The four remain remanded in custody until the court date.
Soulay Fornah was originally arrested on 26 September 2024 on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and was on police bail.
Officers were called after reports a man’s body had been left at a flat in Lefroy Road, Mile Cross.
Police discovered the victim, identified as Kalvin Taylor from London pending formal coroner’s inquest proceedings on the evening of September 21.
A Home Office post-mortem examination confirmed the man’s death was consistent with a single stab wound to the chest.
Leon Bangura has additionally been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply, and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Matthew Holmes, 51, of Bowthorpe Road, Norwich, was also charged with assisting an offender. He remains on conditional bail.
