A man has been sentenced to over five years in prison for operating the ‘Danny’ county Line in Norwich.
Herbie Madina, aged 31 and of Sydney Road, London appeared at King’s Lynn Crown Court on Friday 13 September after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin.
Madina was arrested on 5 December 2023 after investigations led officers to the ‘Danny’ drugs line selling class A drugs, heroin, from London to Norwich.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was later charged.
Madina was identified as the main holder of the line and investigations showed that broadcast bulk messages had been sent out between June to December 2023 advertising drugs.
Data showed that across 88 different days, 3162 messages were sent to 87 unique mobile numbers all of which could be attributed to Madina.
Madina appeared at King’s Lynn Crown Court on Friday 13 September 2024 and was sentenced to five years and 11 months in prison.
Investigating officer, PC Phil Mercer, said: “'This is significant sentence and reflects the work of the Norwich Neighbourhood Policing Team in dismantling County Lines operations, of which deal drugs and harm our communities. We will continue to work hard to bring those responsible for exploiting vulnerable people and fuelling drug related crime to justice.”
