A man has been charged following an incident in Marsham last week.
The incident at a property in Norwich Road, Marsham, began at about 7.15pm on Tuesday night (3 September) when police were called after concerns were raised for the safety of a man living there. It followed a report that a woman at the property had been assaulted.
When officers arrived at the house, a man was reported as holding a firearm while behaving in a threatening manner.
Several police resources were deployed to the address and remained at the scene until officers were able to safely enter the property, its outbuildings and surroundings.
The man was not inside the property and enquiries were made to locate him. He was arrested in the West Midlands at about 7.30pm on Thursday 5 September 2024 on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
A woman aged in her 50s was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Thomas Daniels-Poulis, aged 30 and of Norwich Road, Marsham has been charged with common assault and making use of an imitation firearm with intent to resist arrest. He appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court on 7 September and has since been remanded into custody ahead of his next court hearing on 4 October 2024 at Norwich Crown Court.
The woman has been released on bail until 10 November 2024.
