A man has been arrested after an assault in Norwich city centre.
Police were called at 1.07am today (Thursday 5 September) to London Street following reports a man had been assaulted.
When officers arrived they found a man with injuries to his face and head. He was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault – GBH. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning where he remains.
