A man charged on suspicion of the murder of a man found with a stab wound in Norwich is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court tomorrow morning (Tuesday 5 November).
Elvis Vickers, aged 46 and of Mousehold Street, Norwich, was charged after police were called to reports a man had been stabbed at 10.15pm on Friday 1 November. He appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 4 November) and has been remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Crown Court tomorrow on suspicion of murder.
The victim, named provisionally as Abdulkadar Chadli, 48, pending formal Coroner’s inquest proceedings, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A 46-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
The 37-year-old was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre and subsequently released on police bail until January 2025, pending further enquiries.
An initial Home Office post-mortem examination was conducted on Saturday 2 November with the preliminary findings showing the man’s death was consistent with a stab wound to the chest.
A police cordon remains at the Mousehold Street address while the investigation is ongoing.
