A 46-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a man in Norwich.
Police were called at around 10.15pm, on Friday 1 November, to a property in Mousehold Street following reports a man had been stabbed.
Police and paramedics attended but sadly the man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
An initial Home Office post-mortem examination was conducted yesterday (Saturday 2 November), with the preliminary findings showing the man’s death was consistent with a stab wound to the chest.
A 46-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
The 37-year-old was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre and subsequently released on police bail until January 2025, pending further enquiries.
The 46-year-old was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Elvis Vickers, aged 46 and of Mousehold Street, Norwich has subsequently been charged with the man’s murder. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court tomorrow (Monday 4 November 2024).
The Mousehold Street address will remain cordoned off for the next few days.
