A Home Office post-mortem examination has been carried out following the death of a woman in Great Yarmouth. The cause of death cannot be ascertained at this stage and further tests will now take place.
Officers were called shortly after 2pm on Tuesday 19 November following a report that the body of a woman had been found in a property in Middlegate.
Emergency services attended the scene but sadly the woman, who was aged in her 20s, was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination was carried out today, Thursday 21 November, with further tests needing to be conducted.
The woman’s death continues to be treated as unexplained and a police cordon remains in place at the property as officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
