Take That will be entertaining Norwich this May and our Project Servator officers will be on hand to keep you safe. The trio will be hosted at Carrow Road on 28 May 2024 as they perform one of their 29 dates for ‘This Life On Tour’.
Officers from the Project Servator team will be operating in the area on the night and in the weeks leading up to the event.
Project Servator is a policing tactic that aims to disrupt a range of criminal activity, including terrorism, while providing a reassuring presence for the public. Using a mixture of plain clothed and uniformed officers, the approach relies on unpredictable and highly visible police deployments. At the same time, the team are building a network of vigilance made up of business and community partners and the general public.
You may also see our officers on digital screens in the local area, through an Out-of-Home campaign supported by JCDecaux UK, explaining how you can get in touch if you see anything suspicious.
Sgt Gary Owen said: ““Project Servator is a tactic used to disrupt criminal activity and reassure the public that we are at a location, working with our partners to keep them safe.
“JCDecaux have been instrumental in supporting us to get this message out and it’s a great example of how partnerships can make us stronger. We are incredibly grateful for the help they have offered to us in supporting Project Servator and this operation.
“You will see our officers around Carrow Road and Riverside over the coming weeks, and we are keen to work with the public and local businesses to keep you safe, so please come and say hello or report any suspicious activity.”
It is expected that thousands of fans will be travelling to the stadium on Tuesday afternoon so please plan ahead and respect each other.
We will be in and around the venue to ensure that you have an enjoyable and safe evening. We are always happy to have a chat, so please say hello!
If something doesn’t feel right, please speak to officers or security staff. In an emergency, always dial 999.
