A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Hockwold.
Police were called to Main Street just before 9am on Thursday 29 February 2024 following reports a man had been stabbed in the neck.
The victim, a man in his 80s, was initially taken to the QEH Hospital but later transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for treatment. He remains in a critical but stable condition having sustained life-threatening injuries.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning where he remains.
Detectives have been given extra time to question him. The victim and suspect were known to each other.
A police cordon remains in place while investigations continue.
