A 40-year-old man has this evening (Thursday 25 July 2024) been charged with the murder of a man in Dereham.
Paramedics were called to an address in Dereham at around 5am on Sunday (21 July 2024) following reports that a man aged in his 30s inside the property was unwell. He was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where sadly he died on Sunday evening.
On Tuesday (23 July 2024) police were notified of the man’s death and enquiries revealed a serious assault had occurred outside the Red Lion Public House in Dereham on Saturday evening (20 July 2024).
A murder investigation was launched and a man aged in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday evening (Wednesday 24 July 2024). He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning where he remains.
A Home Office post-mortem examination was carried out today (Thursday 25 July 2024) with the provisional cause of death given as a traumatic head injury.
This evening (Thursday 25 July 2024) Tyrone Busch, age 40, of St Withburga Lane, Dereham, was charged with murder. He has been remanded into custody to appear before Norwich Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (Friday 26 July 2024).
