Police were called to reports of an incident in Hardwick on Saturday morning (6 July 2024).
Ambulance called police at 8.11am where a woman in her 40s was found with knife wounds on Mill Lane.
She was taken by ambulance to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries where she remains in a stable condition.
Road closures were in place and a police cordon at the scene while investigations were carried out.
Officers believe those involved were known to each other.
Police arrested a man in Cambridgeshire and he was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Jonathan Creak, 50, of Westland Way, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, has been charged on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a knife. He appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Monday July 8 2024 and was remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 5 August 2024.
