A 40-year-old man has this evening been charged with the murder of a woman in Great Yarmouth.
Officers were alerted to an incident on Princes Road at 9.11am yesterday (Saturday 20 January 2024) after receiving information that the body of a woman was inside a property.
They attended the address where a woman, believed to be in her 30s, was discovered.
An initial Home Office post-mortem examination was conducted yesterday. While further tests are required, preliminary findings show the woman’s death was consistent with compression to the neck.
A man was arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
