Police have been given extra time to question a man arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman’s body in Great Yarmouth yesterday (Saturday 20 January 2024).
The man, aged in his 40s, remains in custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre where detectives will continue to question him today.
Officers were alerted to an incident on Princes Road at 9.11am yesterday after receiving information that the body of a woman was inside a property.
They attended the address where a woman, believed to be in her 30s, was discovered.
The Princes Road address remains cordoned off today while further enquiries are carried out and officers work to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the Princes Road area to come forward.
