Appeal following fatal collision – Wymondham

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on Melton Road toward Wymondham yesterday morning (22 January 2024).

The incident happened at 11.41am when a red Seat Ibiza was in collision with a tree as it travelled along Melton Road towards Wymondham. The driver, a man in his 70s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services, including fire and ambulance, were on scene and road closures were in place.

Any witnesses to the collision, to the manner of driving of a vehicle described above prior to the collision, or from persons in the area who may have dashcam footage of the vehicle, are asked to contact Norfolk Police on 101 and quote CAD reference 167 of 22nd January.
