A teenager has been interviewed and will be referred to the Youth Offending Team after admitting damaging a ‘Tommy’ silhouette.
The decision follows an investigation into reports a memorial figure was damaged in Broad Street, Harleston, between 5pm on Tuesday 13 February 2024 and 8am on Wednesday 14 February 2024.
Following inquiries a teenage boy was interviewed and admitted the offence.
He will be referred to the Youth Offending Team which is outside of the court and criminalisation process.
The aim is to tackle children’s behaviour and divert children away for offending, however if he is not eligible he may still end up in court.
