A man arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving following a fatal collision on the A148 on Sunday afternoon (22 December) has been bailed.
The man, in his 50s, arrested following the collision involving a white BMW Mini One colliding with two pedestrians, has been released on bail to appear at Aylsham Police Investigation Centre on 14 March 2025.
The collision, in which a man and woman in their 80s sadly died, happened at 4.20pm at the A148 junction with Avenue Road.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of the Mini prior to the collision happening. Anyone with any information or any relevant dashcam footage is asked to get in touch via the following channels below, quoting reference NC-22122024-290:
