Investigations are continuing today following the death of a man who was stabbed in Paragon Place in Norwich last night.
Officers were called at 6.44pm yesterday (Friday 2 August 2024) to reports a man had been stabbed.
Despite the efforts of emergency services the man, in his 30s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The area remains cordoned off today and there will be increased police patrols in the area across the weekend.
Detective Superintendent Mike Brown from the Norfolk Major Investigation Team said: “We recognise the concerns people in the area will have and would urge anyone to speak to our officers.
“While we are still in the early stages of the investigation, we do believe the parties involved were known to each other and there is no wider risk to the public.
“We are working through a number of lines of enquiry in order to trace the suspect, and while these enquiries are active, we will not be releasing the suspect’s description.
“This will of course be reviewed as the investigation progresses and should we need to a description will be released.”
