A man has died after entering the river Bure in Great Yarmouth.
Police were called at 9.10pm last night (Tuesday 20 August 2024) to reports a man in his 50s had entered the water near North River Road while getting onto a rented boat.
He was recovered from the water but despite efforts by emergency services he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The family of the deceased has been informed.
The death is being treated as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious.
