A teenager has been charged with assault following an incident in Thetford on Wednesday (1 November 2023).
The incident happened when an unknown man assaulted a man in his 30s while on King Street in Thetford at 7.45pm. The victim was taken by ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with life-threatening serious head injuries and continues to remain in critical condition.
A boy in his late teens was arrested on suspicion of assault, questioned at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre and has been charged with GBH and possession of cannabis. He has been remanded to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court this afternoon (3 November 2023).
