Police have arrested two men in connection with the serious assault of a man in Great Yarmouth.
Officers were called to Regent Road, Great Yarmouth at 12.07pm yesterday (Friday 22 December 2023) following reports of a man being assaulted.
The man, aged in his 50s, was initially taken to the James Paget Hospital, but later transferred to Addenbrookes Hospital with life threatening injuries, where he remains in a critical condition.
A man in his 20s and a man in his 30s have been arrested on suspicion of GBH. They have been taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where they remain.
There are currently police cordons in place on Malakoff Close, Ordnance Road and Russell Road whilst officers carry out their enquiries.
