Police are asking people to again check their doorbell and dashcam footage in the area where Manuel Pereira may have walked when he went missing one week ago.
Officers are asking residents and businesses to double-check any devices which could have captured the 62-year-old’s movements after he left his home in Nelson Road Central, Great Yarmouth, in the early hours of Monday 19 August 2024, and to also check any insecure outbuildings and sheds.
Superintendent Craig Miller said: “Now that a week has passed since Manuel went missing we are asking the public to again check their devices.
“We continue to carry out extensive searches in the area around Manuel’s home, we have delivered around 2,000 leaflets in English and Portuguese, examined CCTV footage, investigated reported sightings and carried out house-to-house inquiries.
“Although we still have no confirmed sightings, as a result of our inquiries we do believe he left his house at around 4.15am on Monday and are particularly keen that anyone who was driving in the area around that time checks their dashcams.”
Manuel is described as black, bald, of slim build, and around 5ft 11ins tall.
He is believed to be wearing a knee-length black padded coat over the top of a blue Tommy Hilfiger coat, a red and white t-shirt, blue jeans, Adidas grey trainers, and possibly a black hat
Anyone who has seen him or has any information about where he may be is asked to contact Norfolk Police on 101 immediately quoting reference number 427 of 19 August 2024.
