Man charged with handling stolen goods

A 43-year-old man has been charged with handling stolen goods after an incident which happened in Norwich on Saturday morning (24 June 2017).

Police received reports of a man acting suspiciously and looking in people's vehicles at 5.20am in the Dussindale Drive area of Thorpe St Andrew.

Officers then found a number of sunglasses, phones, clothing, tools, electrical equipment, sound equipment and sat navs.

A man was found and arrested in the local area in connection with the incident and taken to Aylsham Police Station for questioning.

Paul McKee of Argyle Street in Norwich was later charged with handling stolen goods and being in possession of a bladed article.

He was remanded in custody and will be appearing at Norwich Magistrates Court today (Monday 26 June 2017).

Officers are appealing for the owners of suspected stolen property to come forward after it was seized early this morning (Saturday 24 June 2017).

Police received reports of a man acting suspiciously and looking in people’s vehicles at 5.20am in the Dussindale Drive area of Thorpe St Andrew.

Officers found a number of sunglasses, phones, clothing, tools, electrical equipment, sound equipment and sat navs and are keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have had such items go missing.

A man aged in his 40s was arrested in connection with this incident and is currently at Aylsham Police Investigation Centre awaiting questioning.
