Witnesses following fatal collision in Gillingham

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Gillingham on Sunday 10 September 2017.

It happened shortly before midnight when a white BMW, which was travelling on the A143 in the direction of Great Yarmouth, lost control and collided with a tree.

The male driver, aged in his 20s, sadly died as a result of the incident.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended, however it was reopened shortly before 5am.

Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses, particularly the occupants of two dark-coloured people-carrier type vehicles which stopped close to the incident; however left the scene before giving any contact details.

Witnesses should contact Acle Roads Policing Team on 101.
