Motorcyclist dies in A134 collision

Police can confirm a motorcyclist has died in a collision near Thetford yesterday (Thursday 23 September 2021).

The incident happened on the A134, just under half a mile from the A11 junction, shortly before 10.50am when a black Harley Davidson motorcycle was involved in a collision with a yellow Ford Transit van.

Emergency services attended and despite treatment, the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed in both directions between the A11 roundabout and the Mundford roundabout and reopened shortly before 5pm.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, has any relevant dash cam footage or has information concerning the driving manner of either the motorcycle or van prior to the collision.

Anyone with information should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Wymondham on 101 quoting incident number 123 of 23 September.

The A134 has been closed in both directions between the A11 roundabout and the Mundford roundabout.

The road is expected to be closed for several hours and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
