Man dies on A47 after RTC

Investigations are underway after a man died in a collision on the outskirts of Norwich on the 22 February.

The incident happened on the A47 between the junctions of the A146 and the A140 shortly after 7.10pm when a white Ford Escort van left the road, colliding with a stationary HGV in a layby.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident and re-opened at 1.25am.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has information concerning the driving manner of the van prior to the incident.
