Man charged with multiple vehicle related theft offences - Norwich

A man in his 30s has been charged with multiple vehicle related theft offences in Norwich.

The charges relate to a series of incidents that have occurred in the early hours of the morning on 17 March 2023 on Whiffler Road and Sweet Briar Road.

James Newton, aged 31, of Jay Gardens, Norwich is charged with the following offences:

• Two counts of theft from a motor vehicle
• Three counts of attempt theft from a motor vehicle
• Going equipped for theft

He appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday 6 April) and has been released on conditional bail. His next court date appearance is 27 July 2023.
