Man charged following fatal collision – North Runcton

A 39-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal collision on the A47 between Middleton and Kings Lynn which resulted in the deaths of three people.

Officers were called to reports of a collision between a white Vauxhall Mokka and black BMW X5 near to the Constitution Hill roundabout in North Runcton at 7.40pm on Sunday (15 January).

Emergency services were on scene but the three occupants of the Vauxhall Mokka, two aged in their 40s and one in their 20s, were pronounced dead by paramedics.

A man in his 30s was arrested yesterday (16 January) on suspicion of death by dangerous driving in connection with the incident and was questioned at King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre.

Aurelijus Cielevicius, of John Street, King’s Lynn, has subsequently been charged with three counts of death by dangerous driving today (17 January). He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court today.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A47 between Middleton and Kings Lynn on Sunday (15 January 2023) in which three people have sadly died.

Officers were called to the incident at Constitution Hill, North Runcton at 7.40pm following reports of a collision between a white Vauxhall Mokka and black BMW X5 near to the Constitution Hill roundabout.

Emergency services were on scene but the three occupants of the Vauxhall Mokka, two aged in their 40s and one in their 20s, were pronounced dead by paramedics.

Road closures were in place on the A47 at North Runcton until this afternoon (16 January). These are lifted now and road is open. 

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving in connection with the incident and is being questioned at King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision, or who witnessed the collision itself to contact them on 101 and quote reference 36/3637/23 or email the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at [email protected].
