Jewellery stolen in Norwich burglary

Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary in Norwich on Wednesday (12 August 2020).

It happened at a property in Old Palace Road between 10am and 2pm when suspect(s) entered an address and stole jewellery, including distinctive silver and gold rings, earrings and necklaces.

Officers are also investigating reports from neighbours who witnessed two men trying door handles of several homes in the area around 1pm on the same day. The suspicious activity was reported to police, who attended and two men were seen to run from the area after officers arrived.

Witnesses have described one man as being white, with dark hair and wearing shorts, t-shirt and a facemask. The other man is described as white in his mid-20s to early 30s with light blond or grey short hair wearing shorts and a white t-shirt.

Residents living in the area are asked to check any private CCTV around this time and to keep doors and windows secure, wherever possible.
