Driver assaulted in A47 road rage incident

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a road rage incident on the outskirts of Norwich.

It happened on the A47 between 6.30am and 6.40am on Wednesday (9 August 2017), near to the slip road with the A140, when two drivers, involved in a minor collision, pulled over.

The victim, a man in his 50s who was driving a Landrover, was approached by the other driver and punched several times before being kicked while on the ground suffering facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

Detective Constable Scott Malcolmson, from Norwich CID, said: "The road was busy with traffic at the time of the incident so I would be keen to hear from anyone travelling in the area who has a dash-cam which may have captured the incident.”

Witnesses should contact DC Malcolmson on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
