Death in Costessey not being treated as suspicious

Police investigating the death of a woman in Costessey have confirmed they are not treating it as suspicious.

Emergency services were called to a property in Colossus Way, Costessey, at 11.30am on Saturday 1 August 2020 after a woman at the address was found unresponsive.

Police and paramedics attended but sadly the woman, aged in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Home Office Post Mortem Examination which took place yesterday (Monday 3 August) proved inconclusive and officers are awaiting further tests.

Whilst the death is still being treated as unexplained, it is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Coroner ahead of an inquest which will take place in due course.
