Closure order in King’s Lynn

An address in Hillington Square in King’s Lynn associated with anti-social behaviour has been shut down.

Police received 23 calls regarding drug use, violence and anti-social behaviour at the address between October 2015 and May 2016

Officers from Norfolk Constabulary, the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk and other partner agencies attended King’s Lynn Magistrates Court on Thursday 26 May to seek a closure order (under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014).

The order was granted for a period of two months.

Sergeant Donna Wiseman, King's Lynn Operational Partnership Team, said: "Norfolk Constabulary and partners are committed to reducing anti-social behaviour that has a debilitating effect on neighbours and the local neighbourhood.

"Residents should be reassured that police will continue to work with partner agencies to ensure people enjoy a good quality of life and not have to suffer the problems associated with drug usage.”
