Appeal following fatal collision in Old Buckenham

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Old Buckenham on Saturday (27 November 2021).
 
The collision happened along the B1077 near to the junction of Fen Street between Attleborough and Old Buckenham shortly before 7.30am. A blue Ford KA collided with a tree.
 
The driver and passenger, both men aged in their 20s, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Sadly, the passenger died yesterday (Sunday 28 November) as a result of his injuries.
 
The driver was discharged from the hospital today (Monday 29 November). He has since been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle, driving without insurance or a licence and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs.
 
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any information about the manner of driving prior to the collision to come forward.
